Last week we introduced Pt. I of our series on quick tips for solo travelers. Beyond drawing inspiration to travel solo, we wanted to provide some valuable advice on how to plan ahead for your next solo travel adventure. For Pt. II, we interviewed our friend and amazing Instagrammer, Chelsea Martin, who shared some quick tips about how to prep and pack for your next vacation. Read her tips below!
Chelsea is an avid travel who spends 250+ a year traveling the world! You can follow her adventures @passporttofriday.
1. Splurge a little on accommodations to ensure you are somewhere you feel safe & comfortable! It may seem ideal to book the cheap Airbnb or hostel, but really research the area you are staying in or consult a Travel Advisor to book your accommodations.
2. Start your day early! When traveling alone I personally don't like to stay out late but instead start my day at sunrise, then I have a fully packed day by the time the sun sets.
3. Don't overpack. I struggle with this and always regret packing so much when I am carrying my own 50 pound suitcase down metro staircases, through cobblestone streets, etc alone.
